A Calling is an award-winning short documentary produced by Northern Light Productions, in association with Good Neighbor Productions, for the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania and the Fallen Journalists Memorial Foundation.
Narrated by Christiane Amanpour, the film pays tribute to journalists who lost their lives reporting the news and to the colleagues who continue that work. Drawing on archival imagery and sound, contemporary interviews, and profiles shaped by the voices and stories of fallen journalists,
A Calling is a moving portrait of public service, courage, and loss. Featured participants include David Remnick and Jelani Cobb. The film has received top honors at the Los Angeles Film and Documentary Film Festival.
